Baigup Wetlands Interest Group is hosting a community exhibition of site-specific artworks that explore the significance of Baigup Wetlands and examine the relationship between humans, nature and art.
Work selected for inclusion please deliver to Ellis House Art Centre on Sunday 22nd June between 3–5pm

We can’t wait to share the diverse creative work inspired by this pocket of bushland!
Creative work submitted needs to be site-specific to Baigup Wetlands. Works submitted must have an interrelationship with this location. The intention of this exhibition is to reflect on the significance Baigup Wetlands, it’s unique terrain, flora and fauna and it’s relationship within our community.
Photos of entries (filename to include your name and artwork title) and details are to be uploaded via the online form on this web page by no later than 5pm on the Friday 20th June 2025. Photos 2500 pixels width in jpg or png format are ideal. Please crop images to be just your image and not picture frames or easels etc.
Our online form caters for entries of up to THREE artworks but if you have more that you wish to submit - you can fill out the form twice for a maximum of SIX artworks. We do have limited hanging space so we will need to balance this with the number of submissions and will contact you if we are unable to fit all of your submissions.
💸 All artworks must be for sale – A 15% commission is applicable on all sales which will go to Ellis House Art Centre.
🎨 The $5, per artwork, entry fee is to be paid to Ellis House Art Centre when the works are dropped off between 3-5pm on Sunday 22nd June.

Please note - don’t bring artworks earlier because there’s nowhere to store your work.
The theme of this exhibition is site-specific work that explores the theme of Baigup Wetlands. If we are unable to include any of your entries due to them not fitting our exhibition theme, then we will get in touch to discuss this with you.
This exhibition is run by volunteers doing their best to make it a success.
All entries submitted to the art exhibition must be original artworks created by the participating artists. Originality is highly valued in our exhibition, and we encourage artists to showcase their unique artistic vision and creativity. If an artwork is based on a photograph, it is essential that the artist obtains the necessary permissions and rights from the copyright holder before submitting the artwork. Artists are responsible for ensuring that their artworks do not infringe upon any copyright laws.
Artworks must be clearly and securely labelled on the back (artist name, phone number, title, price).
🖼️ Framed photographs, artworks, and works on canvas, must be ready to hang. Attach D or A hooks to the frame at about a third of the way down from the top of the artwork. Use quality hanging cord, stretch it firmly, and secure with a non-slip knot to one side. DO NOT use eyelets, wire, string or fishing line.
The official Opening Event for Baigup Wetlands ‘Nurtured by Nature’ exhibition will be held on Sunday 29th June 2–4pm 2025.
You are invited! Note that artworks in this exhibition can be purchased from the gallery from Thursday 26th June.
On completion of the exhibition artwork can be collected between 3:00pm – 5:00pm on Sunday 13th July from Ellis House Art Centre - 116 Milne St, Bayswater WA 6053.
